Who We Are

Merrimac United Methodist Church is an affirming community of believers dedicated to the inclusive and radical love of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to help all people know and experience the saving grace found in Jesus Christ our Lord, and to fulfill this mission we strive to maintain "Open Hearts, Open Doors, Open Minds." In keeping with the social principles and tradition of the UMC we are committed to the inclusion of all backgrounds of people including our LGBTQIA+ brothers, sisters, and siblings. We are also committed to the transformation of the world through discipleship born of active mission and justice work within the church, our community, and the world. The words in 1 Peter 3:8 express what we ultimately desire to be: “Finally, all of you, have unity of spirit, sympathy, love for one another, a tender heart, and a humble mind.”

Our Pastor, Erick Hunter

Merrimac United Methodist Church welcomed Pastor Erick Hunter on Sunday, August 6, with a celebration of worship, followed by refreshments and fellowship.
